Founded in 2017

Platypus Partners was founded in 2017 by Georgina Cadbury and George Curtis who have known each other for over 15 years. They previously worked together at Palmer Capital, prior to which George was an LP client of Georgina’s.

Georgina Cadbury

Georgina focuses on advising private equity firms on fund raising strategies. Georgina has worked in the investment industry for over 25 years, the majority of which as a capital raiser.
Previously employed as a Director of Investor Relations at Palmer Capital (a subsidiary of the Oakley Group), prior to this she worked at Ivy Asset Management, a global fund of hedge funds, and started her career at Morgan Stanley. Georgina serves as a non-Executive Director of The Economist Group.

George Curtis

George focuses on evaluating investment opportunities. George has worked in the investment industry for two decades, including on the buy-side as a Limited Partner.
Between 2006-2014, George worked at Hansa Capital (family office) and met with circa 1,000 fund groups before joining Georgina at Palmer Capital (a subsidiary of the Oakley Group) as Director of Research. George spent his gap year as a platoon commander in the British Army.

Daniel White, CAIA

Daniel focuses on PE & VC fundraising with a Nordic bias.
Daniel began his career at RBS & Coutts, before joining Mayfair Capital in 2018 as a fundraising associate for their European real estate private equity funds. Daniel first met George at Hansa Capital over 12 years ago as an intern. He is an experienced tech startup founder & CEO, having built and launched a B2C drinks-gifting app and a VC-backed B2B investor relations platform.
